We are looking for teaching assistants to help with the running of after school maths clubs using the Japanese abacus in Leicester.  Knowledge of how to use the abacus is not necessary as training will be provided.Qualification requirement:NVQ level 3 or aboveHours: After school hours from 3 to 6 pm depending on days of the week.  Minimum 4 hours a week with possibility of extending this further to running your own sessions.Criteria:Experience in teaching children in a formal education settingMust be proficient in English and primary mathsEnergetic and good with youngSEE DETAILS

Following a successful first round of abacus training as part of the Dementia Prevention Project, Nisih Freeman has secured another round of 10 weeks funding from the Nottinghamshire County Council to run abacus training for the elderly in Keyworth open to elderly in Keyworth and surrounding areas.  Hope to see new people on next Monday!Starting date: Monday, 8 October 2018Ending date: Friday, 21 December 2018Venue: Mondays, Centenary Lounge, from 10am to 11am              Fridays, Centenary Lounge, from 11am to 12noon
